Liam and Micah's Aunt Heidi came down for a visit this weekend. Micah's been looking forward to playing trucks with her for a while. He was not disappointed! We had a great time.
The weekend started with Liam doing his new trick - standing on his own. He's only done it a few times and it only lasts a second (literally), but he's working on it. We couldn't get it on camera, but this is a cute picture of him after he did it once.
We went to Clearwater to visit some relatives on my dad's side of the family. Micah ran around the yard with his great-great-Uncle Dick, who really enjoyed the company of the little boys.
Don't let Ricky's - the guy in flip-flops - attire fool you - it was still really cold that day! He's from Pittsburgh so he was taking advantage of any warmer weather he could get! The people who live in Florida know that it's been too cold for too long. We're finally breaking out of this cold snap this week. (I'm not complaining, dear friends and family in the north. Just stating a fact that this is abnormal weather for us.)

That same night, Heidi and I went to see "Little House on the Prairie: The Musical". When I saw last week that this was only going to be in town this weekend, which just happened to be the weekend Heidi was in town, I knew we had to go see the show. It stars Melissa Gilbert, who played Laura in the TV series, as Ma. Heidi and I agreed with one newspaper's review - the lyrics to the songs weren't great and the songs weren't needed to tell the story, which kind of defeats the whole purpose of making it a musical at all. But we had a good time watching and making all kinds of comments comparing it to the books and television show that we grew up with. I couldn't have it enjoyed it with anyone else.
Fun on Sunday night included the boys looking cute eating their dinner
and craziness with the fire truck. Aunt Heidi was pushing Micah around on this for a little bit.
Then he decided to show her just how crazy he wanted to get with the ride.
So she obliged and Micah had a daredevil ride.

Oh, I am SOOO jealous of you guys! You guys already get to go outside and have fun. We still have snow here! Soon you guys will probably be swimming!
