First formal portraits

Today we took Micah for his first formal portrait session. We were a little apprehensive - it's difficult to control the behavior of a one-month old and since he's not on a schedule yet, we didn't know what time of the day would be good to take him. We went at 10:00 a.m., and we're happy to report that Micah did great! And here we go bragging a little bit: the photographer said he was the best baby that she'd worked with. Okay, she's only been on the job for a month, but still - he's the best! :) We were really pleased with the portraits. A couple are posted here so that you can see how cute both he and his little feet are. His hair is starting to look a little auburn. We're not sure where that comes from, but it's really fun watching him turn into a little person.

New blog!

Welcome to our new blog! We were running out of space on our Babysites account and being the financially responsible (read: cheap) new parents that we are, we decided that instead of actually paying for more space, we would go somewhere else on the internet to get it for free. So here we are! We'll leave the Babysite up for a while, but from now on, this is where you can go for updates on life with Micah. We can't believe he's already four weeks old! He's growing and changing everyday. Yesterday Micah took his first trip to the mall. We walked the whole thing because Mommy inevitably parks at the opposite end of the mall from whatever store she needs to visit because she can't ever remember the layout of the mall. We had to stop and eat halfway through (him, not me!) but then we were fine. I've posted what seems to be everyone's favorite picture of Micah so far, as well as his four-week old picture. We're hoping to go to get some professional portraits done early next week before he grows too much more!
