Letter from Liam
Dear Daddy -
Hi! It's Liam. Despite my lack of verbal skills, I'm shockingly good at expressing myself via the written word. I wanted to show you some things that we've been doing from my perspective.
I can't get enough of being outside. If Mommy would let me, I would sleep outside too. I have turned into a fearless explorer, but I'm not sure what I'm exploring in this picture, to be honest.
Despite the fact that there is baseball on the TV behind me, make no mistake about it - Steeler season has officially begun in Pittsburgh! All these crazy 'Burghers are wearing their Steelers gear all the time. Pop-Pop let me try on a real Steelers helmet. It's a little heavy. Thank goodness I have Mommy's normal-sized noggin so that it didn't tip me over. If I would have had your head like Micah does, I might have fallen over! Now I just need a Steelers shirt to go with it and I'll be ready to watch the games with Mommy.
Mum-Mum took Micah and Mommy to the library yesterday so Micah could get some truck books. He hadn't read any in a week, so he was going through what Mommy lovingly called, "withdrawal". (I've been hanging around Mommy too much, and am beginning to have a grasp on sarcasm and its many uses. Mommy says we better see you again soon so that you can stop the madness!) Mum-Mum read lots to him when they got home, including this book, which Mommy says that Micah has checked out multiple times from our library at home already.
While we were at Kennywood on Sunday, a lady in line behind us at the kiddie Turtles ride actually called me "so gosh dang cute". I didn't understand her at first, but Mommy later explained that the lady was speaking in an accent called Pittsburgh-ese and Mommy translated for me. I'm going to have to learn me some of that. But really, Daddy, how right on was that lady???
I still only count to three.
I still love to give kisses.
I still want to walk everywhere.
Some things haven't changed.
I miss you! Please sit on Samson for me and give Heinz a big open mouth kiss just so he remembers me.
Love,
Liam
