VBS and more

It was Vacation Bible school week at First Pres, so we spent a lot of time there. This was the first year that Micah could actually participate and he loved it! He came home singing new songs and behaving like the thoroughly exhausted almost-three-year-old that he was after a morning filled with activity. This is Micah's class. Can you find him? Here's your clue. I got to hang out with Liam all week since I was a volunteer in the nursery. My baby is getting so independent! He would run and play, and then run to me every once in a while just to give me a little kiss before playing again. He's pretty yummy. Micah had a great time going to his first VBS. In particular, he LOVED the hat given away on the last day. Can you tell? After we got home from VBS, we would eat lunch and two of us would nap while the third did the dishes and cleaned up and did some work. I really enjoyed my nap. :) Oh, and don't you love the action shot below? We were sliding the big cars down the new floor, and the boys were just running and running. I couldn't get one of them staying still, but I think this captures who they are! Micah sitting with his class before the presentations at the closing ceremony on the evening of the last day of VBS. He didn't sing when it was time... ...but at least he took his thumb out of his mouth long enough at one point to take his hat off. Unfortunately, the beloved hat was stolen mid-song by another kid so... ...this was the look he had on his face for the remainder of the songs. Tim talks to the group of parents and kids gathered for the closing ceremony. Liam just wanted to run everywhere. I was so proud of how he did this week that I thought I would give Micah an ice cream treat when we got home. Big mistake. Huge. He was up until after 11:00. I may have actually fallen asleep before him. He wasn't active or talkative, just not sleeping Aahhh...another gorgeous Florida sunset right in our backyard. Peaceful ends to crazy days.
