There was a winter storm forecasted to hit town at the same time that the children were going to be let out from school. So the school called for an early dismissal and I ended up with three children at home, all of whom were unbelievably excited for the flakes to start to fall.
Predictably, the "storm" wasn't much of one, ultimately giving us not much more than a dusting. And the "storm" hit closer to the dinner hour than the end of school.
But these kids just had to go outside and experience it. And since mama had dropped some money this morning on boots and snow pants so that they would be prepared to play in said snow, I thought it was a good idea to get them outside.

A happy crew. Well, three out of four of them were pretty happy to be out in the snow.
And maybe one day there will be more snow for even more fun!
