Vacation Bible School 2013

Vacation Bible School 2013 "SonWest Round Up" is in the books!  We will, however, be singing the songs well into 2020.

The kids had an awesome time this week, and I'm always thrilled with how VBS somehow manages to combine fun with learning so that the kids walk away with a real understanding that Jesus loves them.  At 5 and 4, that's pretty much what I'm looking for.  Thank you to all of the 60+ volunteers who helped two little boys learn more about God this week!

Here's Cowboy Liam.  Back in the day when he got this hat at a party, he picked it because pink was his favorite color.  While it's no longer the favorite, it still ranks pretty high, and there are very few boys who could pull this hat off like our Liam can!
Cowboy Micah was, for once, soooo excited to sing and dance for us at the Friday night closing dinner and program!
Liam with his good buddy Ian.
The good thing about the pink hat is that it stands out in a sea of blue shirts!
Practicing his lasso.
Do cowboys make this face?
We're gonna ride, for Jesus Christ!
Get ready for the video...

The good part about staying late while Daddy helps with the clean up is catching a few last pictures.  Micah was a laughing lizard.
Liam was a generous bear.
My cowboys, whose hearts for Jesus are bigger than their 10-gallon hats!
