For all of the times that I grab the camera and take tons of pictures of the kids doing (seemingly) insignificant things, it amazes me how many times I miss the significant times and don't capture them on film. Like when people come to visit.
Pop-Pop came two weeks ago and stayed for about six days. His visit meant Tim and I could get a night away sans children for my birthday. Thanks, Dad! We all loved seeing them, but the boys certainly had a good time soaking up all the attention.
Pop-Pop did many cool things with them. We were over in Orlando at the time share and they got to play on the world's coolest indoor play area. Here's fearless Liam climbing up into the play area... ...and sliding down. No matter how many times we asked him sit on his bum, he refused. Smart kid - grown-ups aren't allowed/can't fit/are too uncoordinated to fit inside this thing so there really wasn't anything we could do to stop him.
He crawled out. I haven't seen him crawl in over a year - since he learned to walk. There's a great line from a Mary Chapin Carpenter song: "Since I've learned to walk, all I've done is run." That's Liam.
Micah at the top.
So you know Liam had to follow!
In the pool with Pop-Pop.
Pop-Pop took Micah in the big pool. They had a good time cruising around.
How cute is this picture of Liam and his daddy???
Pop-Pop also attempted to give them their first golf lesson. We discovered it's kind of hard to learn with Fisher Price clubs.
Micah took a swing too. Don't ask about the couch cushion.
Thanks for the super fun visit, Pop-Pop!!
