Easter Eggstravaganza

This morning was the annual First Presbyterian Easter Eggstravaganza. We have brought Micah the last two years, but this is the first year that he has really grasped the concept of running around to gather the eggs and put them in his basket. Liam...well, you'll see. It started off with the reading of an Easter story for the kids. There were a lot more kids there than you see in the picture. Most were at the craft tables around the room. And the hunt begins! Liam enjoyed sitting in the grass and playing with one or two eggs. Cruising the perimeter of the fence to see if he can get all the ones that no one else is going for. To be fair, the cutoff for his age group in that particular area of eggs is three, so Micah had it easy in gathering as many eggs as he wanted. Next year, he'll be in with the big kids. We might have to teach him to throw an elbow in order to get some eggs!! Case in point: stopping to point at an airplane and yell, "Wow!", thus temporarily forgetting about the task at hand. This will never work next year! And the gathering resumes. Daddy and Liam hanging out in the beautiful Florida sunshine. Our boys and their loot. How precious is he? Micah and his buddy Lloyd pose for their annual picture. It was hard to get them to look at the camera at the same time. Post-hunt celebratory cupcake. Post-hunt celebratory...spoon?
