Mr. Tim Goes to the World Series

Tim, here. I'm blogging about something other than Micah today, though not as wonderful and not as meaningful. However, I had a chance to attend Game #2 of the World Series to watch my Phillies phall to the Tampa Bay Rays. Need more cowbell? I think not. There were many Phillies phans there as well, and we were all disappointed as our team phailed to score runs, despite many opportunities. I will give much credit to the opposing pitcher, James Shields, who had the batters baffeled all night long. They were obviously not seeing the ball very well--many called strikeouts and many swings and misses on off-speed pitches. The Rays, for their part, didn't hit much either and after a wobbly first two innings, Bret Myers pitched quite well the rest of the way. It was a wonderful experience to be there and to feel a part of the biggest baseball event of the year. The first pitch of Game #2.
Here I am, a tad irritated with the game thus far, not to mention the ringing in my ears. Los Lonely Boys sang the National Anthem. There were from (of course). . . Texas. John Kruk and Steve Phillips from "Baseball Tonight" on ESPN. The Fox Sports anchors along with the World Series trophy. This is actually a picture of the Big Screen Television from way across the field. Our camera has nice zoom, plus it's a really nice display.
