Liam Turns 5

Dear Liam,

Happy 5th birthday!  Your day is finally here.  You've been talking about it and dreaming about it for so long and here we are. You are officially a five-year-old.

Oh, sweet boy, you are the spunky light of our family.

Things you love:

• Hamming it up for any camera
• Playing with your siblings
• Making people laugh
• Defending your territory
• Singing in the car
• Drumming on any flat surface
• Running everywhere you want to go
• A good cuddle - anytime, anywhere

Things you don't love:

• Being forced to do anything you don't want to do
• Getting scared
• Being left out
• Even the thought of getting lost
• Going to sleep by yourself
• Playing with your siblings
• Not getting to do everything your brother does

 

Your moods can be mercurial, but you are always charming, always cute, always yourself.

There are too many favorite moments to list.  You have captivated us through the years...

This upcoming year will bring big changes for you. You're leaving your beloved school, and graduating to kindergarten.  You'll get to ride the bus, a long-held dream. You're taking drum lessons to develop a crazy natural talent. And you're still figuring out your place as the middle child.

But we love who you are and we love where you're going.  Because you're going amazing places, as amazing kids do.
