Catching Up - Part I

Being away for a week means lots of catching up to do in lots of ways.  Now that the laundry is done and we have enough groceries to get us through tomorrow (thanks, Tim!), I can update the blog.  I'm doing it in installments so that there isn't some ginormous post that anyone feels like they have to spend hours reading.
Micah emerges from his room on Christmas morning.
It's love at first sight.  All he really asked Santa for were trains.  Daddy and Santa put them together so that Micah could see everything all set up on Christmas morning.

Learning to use the remote control for the train.
Liam was pretty hooked too...
...until he saw his own fun train!
Blocks!  Well, they will be when Mommy finishes putting them together in 2013.  Thanks, Aunt Laraine and Uncle Bill! :)
Liam with some loot - not all of it his.
Snuggling with mommy and a new snowglobe.
Daddy's big surprise this year was a guitar!  Many people helped make this possible and add to the funds that I had hidden away - Tim's parents, Derek and Rebekah, Gerard and Peggie - and it was so much fun to see him open it.  Especially after he realized it wasn't just a case!
Maybe we'll get some video soon of him playing it!  Isn't it pretty?  And it sounds beautiful too!
Until we get that video, you'll have to settle for this one of Liam.  Dancing.  With a chihuahua that sings "Feliz Navidad." Really. It was one of Liam's favorite things to open that morning.
